It applies to Event tickets purchased through CONEXI unless a more generous cancellation policy is expressly shown on the Event listing.
The attendee may cancel and receive a full refund of the ticket price.
The ticket is normally non-refundable.
No refund is normally available where an attendee fails to attend without cancelling within the applicable refund period.
Late arrival, early departure or attendance at only part of an Event does not normally create an entitlement to a partial refund.
Unless stated otherwise, a ticket may normally be transferred to another eligible attendee until 24 hours before the Event begins.
The replacement attendee must satisfy any Event prerequisites.
Tickets must not be resold above their original purchase price.
If an organiser cancels an Event and does not provide an acceptable replacement, the attendee will receive a full refund of the ticket price.
If an Event is moved to a materially different date or time, the attendee may normally:
The refund request must be made within any reasonable deadline stated in the rescheduling notice.
A refund may be appropriate where the organiser makes a material change to the original Event purchased.
Examples may include:
Minor timetable or programme changes do not normally qualify.
A suitably qualified substitute facilitator may be used where necessary.
A facilitator change does not automatically create a refund right unless the named facilitator was a fundamental advertised element of the purchase and the substitution materially changes the Event.
For programmes containing multiple sessions, the cancellation period runs from the beginning of the first session.
Once the programme has started, the programme fee is normally non-refundable.
Missing individual sessions does not normally create a partial refund entitlement.
Recording availability is determined by the information shown on the Event listing.
Where a recording was expressly included but cannot be supplied, the organiser should provide an appropriate alternative or CONEXI may consider whether a proportionate remedy is appropriate.
Attendees are responsible for suitable equipment and internet connectivity for online Events.
Individual technical problems affecting only the attendee do not normally qualify for refunds.
Where a material organiser-side technical failure prevents the Event from being delivered, the organiser should provide:
Where CCE hours, CPD or a certificate, depends on attendance or participation requirements, failure by an attendee to meet those requirements does not itself create a refund entitlement.
If expressly advertised recognition cannot be supplied because of an organiser failure, the matter may be reviewed by CONEXI.
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary according to the payment provider and financial institution.
CONEXI and independent Event organisers do not normally reimburse consequential expenses such as:
Unless legally required.
Nothing in this policy removes or limits mandatory consumer rights.
